THE COMMUNIQUE
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ...

February 2, 2013

Greetings!

Here is a testimony from http://brookesandroses.wordpress.com a blog put together by our outstanding Bible workers:
I met Hugo Sunday evening going door to door. As he was walking up the door I noticed that he only had one arm and when he opened the door he had more tattoos than skin. I could tell this guy was a gang member. As Heidi Bryant and I talked with him she started to ask really thought provoking questions and he finally broke and said that he doesn't think there is a God. We explained that we could prove that there was and to give us one chance and he agreed to on Tuesday.
Fast forward 2 days to Tuesday. When I went to Hugo's house his brother told me he was sleeping and didn't want to get out of bed. I asked if I could talk to Hugo and I could hear in the background Hugo yell, "let her in bro!" I went in and talked with him and made him get up and ready for this Bible study. He was hung over but that wasn't unusual for him. As we went through our Bible Study over Daniel 2 he began to ask more and more questions and tell more and more experiences. His biggest question was why? Why does God.....? You know how it is. He shared a heart wrenching story of how his friend God shot right next to him and the terrible experience it was to see his friends mom run outside only to find her son dead and bleeding from the heard, he simply asked where was God than? As we finished our study he agreed that the Bible was the Word and God and that there must be a God, but he didn't see Him as a loving and caring being. It was so beautiful to be able to briefly share with Him the story of Jesus and Calvary and how Jesus died for him so that he can have eternal life and not have to live life dodging bullets. I shared with him the power of forgiveness and Gods transforming power. He listened with tear filled eyes. He never knew of the story of Redemption.
This is why we do evangelism, to make a difference in the lives of those who Jesus died for.

We will call it Last Minute Blitz and will be meeting at 4:30pm on February 5,6,7 to hand out fliers in all the neighborhoods in the immediate area around the Church to give a last minute reminder to those who want to come but may have forgotten. We will begin with a light supper. Mark your calendar. We have asked several area Churches to help!

Let's make sure we represent.

Prayer & Spirituality

We have been pleasantly surprised by the openness of the Norwalk Community to spiritual things. People have been pleasant and friendly for the most part. The Bible Workers have been finding good success in signing up interests in Bible studies and we are rejoicing in God's power to save. Please, do not cease praying for the meetings or our guests. God is moving!
