Welcome
Welcome to the Web site of the Norwalk Seventh-day Adventist Church, located in the Los Angeles area. We hope that as you visit our Web site you will find a reason to come and visit us in person. We are a church of many languages and cultures, more than 30 at last count, and you are sure to find someone here who speaks your language, and knows how to make you feel right at home. The Norwalk church traces its founding to a blind evangelist who gave a series of meetings in the Southern California area in the year 1884. You can read about this on our History web page. In the years between then and now, the Norwalk church has grown to over nine hundred members. We offer a variety of Sabbath School classes from Cradle Roll through Juniors for the younger ages. For those a little older, the Earliteen and Youth classes offer the middle school and high school ages programs to meet their interests. Seven Adult classes offer you an opportunity to study the Scriptures from the Lesson Quarterly or various other selected topics. There are also Adult classes for the Collegiate, and Young Adult ages. If you are new to studying the Scriptures, you will find the class called Religion 101 a help in studying the basic Christian doctrines. Our worship services are designed to acquaint you with God, Jesus, the Holy Spirit, and God's written word. Through worship, study, music, and fellowship you will be brought closer to God, and will find a closer relationship with others who worship here with you. We hold two worship services on Saturday morning, as well as a Bible study on Tuesday evening. The Norwalk Church is a very active church. We have many church and community outreach ministries where you can use your talents for God. Many of these ministries are featured on our Web site. One special ministry is our Bakery and Deli where you can have a meal and purchase many healthful food items. Join us and help us to start a new ministry that reaches the needs of others who are looking for a closer relationship with God. After our Sabbath morning services we host a luncheon for our members and guests. We would like you to stay and enjoy some good food and conversation, and also join us for a nature hike or an afternoon program at the church. We close the Sabbath with a special presentation on a spiritual topic, often using a video or media presentation. May God bless you, and we hope to see you soon.
