Digital confidence, at your pace
Everyday life increasingly assumes comfort with computers, smartphones, email, and the internet — yet many adults and seniors have never had the chance to learn in a low-pressure, patient setting. Our volunteers are here to change that.
Sessions are open to anyone regardless of age, background, or faith. No question is too basic, and no one is left behind.
Topics we can help with
- • Turning a computer or smartphone on, off, and using it comfortably
- • Setting up and using email (Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo)
- • Safely browsing the internet and spotting scams
- • Passwords, two-factor authentication, and account security
- • Video calls with family (FaceTime, WhatsApp, Zoom)
- • Basic word processing and typing
- • Filling out online forms, applications, and government portals
- • Basic job-search skills: résumés, online applications, LinkedIn
Who it's for
Adults and seniors who want to feel confident with technology, and job seekers who need practical digital skills. All levels welcome, including complete beginners.
Format
One-on-one help and small-group sessions. Bring your own device when possible; if you don't have one, let us know when you contact us and we'll do our best to accommodate.
Where
On our Norwalk campus at 12191 Firestone Blvd. Accessible parking and step-free access available; tell us if you need any specific accommodations.
Current schedule
Class dates and one-on-one availability shift with our volunteer team. Rather than publish a schedule that may change, we ask interested learners to contact us directly. We'll share what's currently planned, add you to the interest list, and let you know as soon as the next session is confirmed.
If you have specific goals — a job application, staying in touch with grandkids, learning a new skill — mention it when you reach out, and we'll match you with the right volunteer.
